Quem o mandou vir foi o Sr José Pedroso (grande coleccionador de carros antigos de Montemor/Caneças). Emprestou-o ao Fernando Soares para ele fazer a Rampa de Portalegre , onde o FS de despistou e até houve uma morte de uma espectadora.Do resultado desse acidente adveio a compra do carro pelo próprio Fernando Soares que depois o pintou de cinza prata com o tecto e abas dos guarda lamas em laranja.Depois o Fernando Soares vendeu-o ao Jorge Malhão que pintou apenas o tecto e as abas de azul Barclays (o carro manteve-se cinza prata).Mais tarde o Jorge Malhão teve um pequeno acidente no fim da recta da meta no Estoril (espetou-se contra o Porsche 911 RSR castanho do Carlos Barbot quando discutiam o arranque,pois o Malhão ganhara lugar na primeira linha ao lado do Porsche porque os treinos e a corrida foram feitos sob chuva intensa "wet race"). Após esse acidente o Malhão atirou com a carroçaria inglesa para o lixo e refez o carro, aproveitando toda a mecânica, mas abandonou as portas e mala em carbono e adquiriu uma nova frente destacável mas em fibra de vidro. Pintou o carro de vermelho tinto metalizado (cor de pouco gosto para um carro daquela era) e o tecto cinza prata. Trocou as abas de Grupo 5 por uma abas da Rover Group de gosto também discutível.Tratando-se de um S mkIII de base (replica) tinha algumas particularidades desfasadas, tais como o logo frontal (mkII) e os vidros laterais (mkI) mas em plexi abandonando os vidros (plexi) ingleses que ainda estão cá em casa. O Malhão vendeu-me o carro em 2000 e eu corri com ele nesse ano e no ano seguinte (2001). Apenas alterei a publicidade. Tinha acabado de comprar o carro e foi-me prometido que estava com "saúde" para fazer a época. Faltou foi dizer que antes tinha feito as 6H de Braga nas mãos dos pilotos Fernando Soares, Albino Abrantes e Jorge Malhão (e aí já tinham havido problemas que me foram, digamos, ocultados). Resultado, o carro não passou dos treinos, o motor MED de 135 cv cedeu e tive de montar à pressa, um motor de 100 cv (bem) feito pelo Antero da Historic Garage que eu tinha num Mini Check Mate para "ir á compras".
